Effects of Salary Cap Roll Over in the new CBA

@NFLosophy (Raidersblog) looks at the implications of new CBA.  Salary cap roll over has meant fewer late season extensions.  A salary floor makes sure teams aren’t overly cheap, but the roll over allows teams to save now and apply it to the future.  Cap manipulation more important than ever.  Link

Ben Roethlisberger Severely Underrated

.@greggrosenthal (NFL) says Ben Roethisberger severely underrated.  Throws one of best deep balls in NFL, extremely hard to get down, 6th in NFL history in YPA, has the Super Bowls.  Should be in talk of best QBs of generation but only 12th QB on NFL’s recent top 100 list.  Link
