NFL Draft: Trading Up Doesn’t Lead to Better Picks

.@SteveDrake_ (Sports + Numbers) looks at whether draft picks who teams trade up for fare any better than others at their draft slot.  The presumption when a team trades up is that the player they are taking is undervalued at that spot.  However, those players don’t seem to achieve success at a higher level than their draft slot warrants historically, so it appears overall the compensation sacrificed isn’t worth it.  Link
